Teegan is off to a fantastic start to her high school career at North Henderson High. She joined the JV after the conclusion of her playoff basketball season. After five games, she is hitting .812 (13-for-16) with 7 RBI, 7 R, 2 2B, and 4 SB. As always, she has been a vaccum cleaner at third base, leading the team in both assists and is second in putouts from that position. In the circle, Teegan has pitched 2 innings of relief with 1 BB and 4 Ks.

Someone looking at Teegan would never guess her most valuable assets: She is fearless and she is cheetah-like fast.  And fielders do not want to be in her path when she has her sights set on the next bag, as she hits them like a locomotive.

Recognizing her athleticism the instant she arrived on the Vipers, coaches turned Teegan around to slap.  To say that was a success is an understatement.  She finished the 2012 travel season with a batting average of .553 with only three strikeouts in 110 plate appearances against 12U and 14U Gold-level competition. Teegan was successful on 44-of-46 stolen base attempts during the season*.  All of this translated into 46 runs scored in 38 games and 110 plate appearances.

Moving up to strictly 14U Gold play has done very little to slow Teegan down, as she has continued to lead the Vipers in hitting, with a .481 average and twelve stolen bases in 13 attempts.  She has also scored 16 runs in 56 plate appearances.

Defensively, you will find no one quicker or more fearless at the third base position.  Teegan is quick-upon-quick and possesses an accurate rocket of an arm. She is on top of any bunt in an instant, with absolutely no hesitation to move in right on top of the batter. She plays equally well moving to either side. When she plays back, Teegan has the range of a shortstop.

During the 2013 summer months, Teegan has been working with a pitching instructor at her high school in anticipation of getting some time in the circle as a freshman.
