Tweed Fires No-Hitter, Fans 12

Following a tough loss to one of the best-hitting teams in Western NC on Wednesday - a game in which she surrendered only 6 singles, 1 earned run and no walks while fanning 10 - Jaiden Tweed left the field with a bloody fingernail. No one would blame her for sitting out the next day's conference contest. Instead, Tweed took the circle and responded with a 5-inning no-hit performance, fanning 12 in the process.

In addition to the no-hitter, Tweed added two hits including a double and RBI, scoring twice in the victory.
